What NBA basketball should I watch today?

Dear Sports Fan provides resources for people who want to learn more about sports. Sports is a common language but it’s not universal. By providing simple explanations of the basic elements of sports as well as thoughtful commentary on culturally important sports stories, we aim to even the playing field and make sports accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

Keeping up with what’s important in sports on a weekly or daily basis is a big task. There are so many games in so many different sports that it can be daunting, even for a committed sports fan. The National Hockey League (NHL) is one of the more difficult to follow from a casual perspective. With its 82 game season, teams play almost every other day. It’s hard to know which games are likely to be exciting and which aren’t. To help with that task, I’ve created this NHL Forecast page. Every day, it will rate each NHL game based on a variety of factors: are the two teams involved in the same division? Are they rivals? Will the game be on national television? How closely matched are the two teams? How good are the teams?

I hope you find this table as useful as I do,
Ezra Fischer
